Easy recipe for vegetarian gado gado from Indonesian cuisine with various vegetables, boiled egg, rice and a delicious peanut sauce.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 300 gr pandan rice
- 500 gr green beans
- 1 cucumber
- 250 gr bean sprouts
- 4 tablespoons fried onions
- 250 gr pointed cabbage
- 2 handfuls of prawn crackers
- 1 bowl Homemade satay sauce
Preparation
- Boil the rice and let it cool.
- First prepare the peanut sauce according to the recipe.
- Boil the green beans for about 12-14 minutes.
- Boil the eggs with the green beans for 6-8 minutes
- Cut the cucumber into thin slices and finely chop the pointed cabbage.
- Take a few large or deep plates and divide the rice over part of the plate.
- Divide the chopped cabbage next to it. And then the green beans, cucumber and bean sprouts.
- Then generously divide the peanut sauce over it. Add or put on some prawn crackers.
- Cut the boiled eggs in half and place them on the gado dado.
- Finally, sprinkle with some fried onions.
Tips: Instead of making your own peanut sauce, you can also use ready-made satay sauce for a quick version. Also add some tempeh, tofu or chicken.
